Transport: what people expect of Hong Kong

When people thing of Hong Kong, the Mass Transit Railway usually comes to mind, being a highly efficient underground railway that covers most of the places people want to go. Beyond that, the Peak Tram up to Victoria Peak also comes to mind, as well as the historic the double deck trams on Hong Kong Island. Here are a few photos that sum it up:

Typical entry to the MTR, this one is at Shau Kei Wan station.

Next station display above the doors of a MTR train. It shows the current journey in red lights, the blinking orange lights show the stations you can change for at the next station. The lights in the top corner indicate to exit the train from the doors on this side, or the opposite side doors.

Planes, trains and automobiles: an Airport Express train crosses the bridge from Tung Chung to Chek Lap Kok, while a number of Airport buses cross on the parallel road bridge, and a jet on final approach nears landing at the airport itself.

Evening crowds exit the station at Tsim Sha Tsui.

In they come: Cross platform interchange at Admiralty station, passengers leave a westbound Tsuen Wan Line train for a eastbound Island Line train
