Retro liveried buses for the KMB 80th anniversary

Last time I wrote about the MTR’s retro liveried train to mark their 45th anniversary, but it turns they aren’t the only Hong Kong transport operator doing this – Kowloon Motor Bus has did it back in 2013 to mark their 80th anniversary.

A total of eight modern buses received body wraps to replicate liveries previously worn by the KMB fleet.

Volvo B9TL AVBWU54 PS9280 in the 1949 livery of a Daimler CVG.

Volvo B9TL AVBWU253 RJ2733 in the livery of a 1960s AEC Regent V.

Alexander Dennis Enviro400 ATSE31 RV3531 in the 1960s livery of a Daimler Fleetline.

Volvo B9TL AVBWU252 RJ2681 in the 1970s livery of a one person operation Daimler CVG.

Alexander Dennis Enviro400 ATSE48 RW5779 in the 1970s livery as found on Leyland Victory Mark 2 and Dennis Jubilant buses.

Scania K310UD ASU19 PC5322 in the 1983 livery of a Mercedes-Benz O305 demonstrator.

Volvo B9TL AVBWU200 PZ8904 in the livery of a 1984 Volvo B10MD.

And Alexander Dennis Enviro500 ATEU5 NX3426 in the 1986 livery of an air-conditioned bus MCW Metrobus.
